Most devices are already getting Android Nougat update. In case you have missed the track of which devices are getting Nougat 7 update of late, check out our weekly review on Android Nougat update. Many Moto users are desperately waiting for the new OS. In what comes as a relief to Moto users, Motorola has announced that 15 Moto models will get the update in December. Going by the model names, it looks like the devices must be at least a year old for them to be eligible for Android Nougat 7.0 update.
Do these 15 models include the Moto G (2015) and Moto E3 Power? Well, no. At least not for now. So far there hasn’t been any announcement from the company regarding Android Nougat roll-out schedule for these devices. The company is still contemplating the firmware roll-out for the recently launched Moto E3 Power. So users are left in a fix about Nougat update for Moto E3 Power. Obviously, Moto E3 does not meet the “at least one-year-old” requirement for Nougat roll-out. It remains to be seen when the company will make an official announcement regarding the same. Till then, Moto E3 Power users will have no other option but to stick to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Moto E3 Power sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution and pixel density of 294 ppi. Powered by Quad-core 1GHz MediaTek MT6735P processor, the phone comes with 2GB RAM and Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It offers 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via a micro SD card. Moto G (2015) has similar screen size and resolution but sports a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410.
