Following the launch of the desktop variants of the GeForce GTX 1050 cards, Nvidia is now preparing to release GP107-powered products for notebooks. The first of the company’s latest GPU-based product was recently tested out by the folks over at LaptopMedia who, as we hear, received a notebook sample that comes equipped with the GTX 1050 Ti chip.

Already available for desktop users, the GP107 based new chip is going to make its way down to the mobility platform to cater to the budget-sensitive segment of the gaming market. As you already know, the GTX 1050 series is renowned for power efficiency (meaning longer battery life) and the new chip is expected to carry that legacy forward.

So far the specs are concerned, the exact figures have been published by the source, although they remain unconfirmed at the moment. The chip is powered by a GP107 core built on Samsung’s 14nm process node and it boasts 768 CUDA cores, 32 raster operation units, as well as 48 texture mapping units.

The GTX 1050 Ti will feature 4GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 7 GHz, operating around a 128-bit interface for ensuring 112 Gbps bandwidth. The base and boost clock speeds stand at 1490 MHz and 1624 MHz respectively (note that both values are higher compared to the clock speeds offered by the desktop variants).

However, allows us to clarify that we are yet to receive a confirmation if the aforementioned clock speeds are indeed accurate. And finally, the new GPU will flaunt a TDP of less than 100W.
