The OnePlus 3 is a power-packed device. It offers most of the features found in premium flagship smartphones. However, it’s not the big specs which attract the customers. Apparently, for them, the biggest USP of the ‘flagship killer’ is Dash Charge.
The OnePlus 3 sports a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The flagship device sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection auto-focus system) and OIS (optical image stabilization). However, it is the Dash Charge technology that drives most people to purchase the OnePlus 3, as per OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei.
The Dash Charge is a unique technology developed in-house by the Chinese company. The OnePlus founder said in a recent interview that as per OnePlus’s surveys [which focused on what OnePlus users look for], the number one reason why people are satisfied about the OnePlus 3 is Dash Charge. The Dash Charge works differently in comparison to other fast charging technologies. The new data makes it even more precious for OnePlus.
However, this data reflects the customer satisfaction with as specific feature, meaning the company sees a lot of loyal customers. So far, the company has released very few smartphone devices. In fact, the OnePlus 3 is the third flagship smartphone launched by OnePlus. It is rumored to launch an upgraded version of the new flagship this month itself, called OnePlus 3T. The upgraded variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor and a new Sony IMX398 sensor for the 16MP rear camera.
It’s also worth noting that Carl Pei stated that the Dash Charge technology is ‘the most important thing’ for OnePlus, followed by the ‘overall quality of the build and design,’ and camera. We can expect several improvements in these particular areas in future OnePlus devices.
