Nvidia recently launched GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti, the world’s most affordable top-of-the-line graphics cards offering amazing performance. With several cards already launched in 2016, Nvidia’s plans for 2017 have remained in the dark. But of late, several reports have emerged which strongly indicate that the American company will launch the highly anticipated GTX 1080 Ti in January 2017. That’s just two months away!

Rumors hint at the GTX 1080 Ti being powered by Pascal P104-400-A1, offering high-definition frames per second. One another report claims that GTX 1080 Ti will be powered by GP 102. The upcoming graphics will likely have 3328 CUDA cores, lower than Titan X but higher than GTX 1050 Ti. The new card is also expected to have 208 TMU, lower than 224 TMUs of Pascal Titan X. The GeForce GTX 1080 will likely have 8GB GFFR5X with 256-bit memory interface with memory clocking at 1.25MHz.

Price

When it comes to price, GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be priced much lower than the Pascal-based Titan X, but will likely be priced higher than the recently launched GTX 1050 Ti. In case you are not aware, Nvidia launched GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti for very affordable rates – $109 and $139 respectively.

Of late, Nvidia is concentrating on both high-end premium graphics cards like Pascal Titan X and also on launching affordable yet high-performance cards like GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti. At just $139, the GTX 1050 Ti is already being touted as the world’s most affordable high-performance graphics card. That said, Nvidia is likely to reveal the upcoming GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU during Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Whether it will launch alongside Radeon RX 490 – AMD’s first Vega-based GPU – is not very clear at this point in time.
