Almost every detail of the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017), including specifications and pricing, have been leaked over the last few weeks. However, Samsung has not officially confirmed any details about the upcoming mid-range smartphone. Now, the Galaxy A3 (2017) has been certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). This means that the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is likely to be launched in December itself. The Galaxy A3 (2016) was also launched around this time last year.

Previously, the upcoming Galaxy A3 (2017) has been spotted on benchmark site GFXBench and Zauba [website that tracks imports and exports in India]. Now, the clearance by SIG hints at a close release date.

As per Zauba listing, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) with the model number SM-A320F carries a price tag of Rs.10,287 (around $155). While the upcoming handset has been listed on the MobileKaPrice website at Rs 13,999.

As per GFXBench listing, the upgraded handset has been spotted with a 4.7-inch display with HD [1,280 x 720 pixels] resolution. it is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor along with an ARM Mali-T830 GPU and 2GB of RAM [upgraded from 1.5GB RAM]. The new smartphone will be supported by 8GB internal storage, compared to 16GB on the last generation. However, there might be two variants of the same. It runs an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top. The Galaxy A3 (2017) is expected to come with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

The Galaxy A3 (2016) sports a 4.7-inch Super-AMOLED display with HD resolution and 312ppi pixel density. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor along with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage [expandable up to 128GB via microSD card]. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and is backed by a 2,300mAh battery.
