Last week, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was launched in China. The new dual curved smartphone is not expected to be launched in India anytime soon. However, there’s a way to get the new flagship device outside China. The Mi Note 2 has now been listed on the GearBest. Additionally, GearBest has also listed the Mi MIX concept smartphone for customers outside China.
Xiaomi’s VP Hugo Barra has confirmed that the new smartphone will not be released in India. The power-packed smartphone is doing pretty well in China. It is the best alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 right now. For international customers, GearBest is coming up with an alternative too.
The online international reseller has listed three variants of the Mi Note 2 as a part of the pre-sale, which started on October 29 and ends on December 15. However, the shipping is expected to take a month. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is priced at $509.99 (Rs. 34,000) for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant is listed at $597.99 (Rs. 39,800).
In China, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is priced at CNY 2799 [approx. Rs. 27,800] for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. While the 6GB RAM/128GB Storage variant costs CNY 3299 [approx. Rs. 32,600]. A 6GB RAM/128Gb Storage variant with Global LTE support is priced at CNY 3499 [approx. Rs. 34,600].
The phone listed on GearBest is available at a higher price compared to the Chinese pricing, but still, it doesn’t sound like a bad deal in this scenario.
Apart from the Gearbest, the Mi Note 2 is also available on Everbuying, however, it does cost a little more compared to Gearbest. Priced at $681.39 for 6GB RAM version, the phone can be considered if you cannot manage it from Gearbest.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 comes with a dual-edge curve design. It sports a 5.7-inch display with 2K resolution. It is powered by a 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and runs Android Marshmallow OS-based MIUI 8. The powerful smartphone sports a 22.56MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera.
