Microsoft on Tuesday rolled out a new Windows 10 update called cumulative update KB3199. Surprisingly, the company didn’t provide any prior information about the updates and despite many users installing it anyway, nobody had a clue exactly what the update was supposed to fix.
However, based on the information shared on the KB page today, the KB3199209 update is actually servicing stack update for the version 1607 of Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
“This update makes stability improvements for the Windows 10 Version 1607 servicing stack,” reads the official description on the official KB page.
That essentially means that although useful, the changes brought in by the update are minor and doesn’t even require a reboot. All affected services restart without requiring user intervention or affecting system performance.
Also, unlike the previous cumulative updates, so far there has been no report of any technical issues or bugs this time. Everything seems to be going as Microsoft had planned and the new lightweight patch is reaching Windows 10 users without fail.
Fix: this copy of windows is not genuine
