Xiaomi’s aggressive push into the Indian smartphone market paid off in 2016 as the company’s one of most popular devices, the Redmi Note 3, became the best selling smartphone in the market.
With that grand accomplishment in mind, the company is now increasingly focusing on two of its recent launches, the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime.
Both these devices have so far been well received and judging by the level of enthusiasm shown by consumers during its open sale on Sep 28, it won’t be probably an exaggeration to state that Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are indeed selling like hot cupcakes.
For those who missed the sale last Wednesday, Xiaomi has announced a new date for the next open sale. But unlike what we had previously expected, there won’t be any weekly sale for these devices next week.
Instead, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime will be sold exclusively via Flipkart and Mi.com on Oct 12, starting 12pm.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S, the more affordable between the two, comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. It is priced at Rs 6,999.
Meanwhile, Redmi 3S Prime which costs Rs 8,999 comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a fingerprint scanner.
Both devices are powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 430 CPU and they feature a 4,100 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, microSD slot, 5-inch HD IPS display, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front snapper.
In a related news, just a day before the next open sale of the Redmi 3S kicks off, Xiaomi will be making available its newly released Mi Band 2 with OLED display in India via another open sale.
The fitness tracker that comes equipped with fitness, sleep and heart rate monitor along with a battery life of 20-days, will go on sale at 12 pm on Oct 11.
