Orange anime series ended its run on Monday last week. However, the 13th episode of the series closed with a teaser trailer announcing a sequel movie. The film is titled Orange: Future and is scheduled to run throughout the Japan from November 18. The sequel film will have a limited run of two weeks.

The movie will carry forward from the series and will tell the story from Suwa’s perspective. It will also contain new material developed by the creator of Orange manga, Ichigo Takano. The film will be directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki and is written by Yuko Kakihara. Nobuteru Yuki will be in-charge of character designing.

The story of Orange manga involves Naho Takamiya, a second-year high school student. Her life is turned upside down when she receives a letter from herself 10 years into the future. The letter asks her to be wary of a new transfer student, Kakeru Naruse. The manga follows the lives of Naho, Kakeru, Suwa and their friends.

The original manga was published in 2012. Its last volume was released in November, 2015. Its spinoff manga started the serialization in Monthly Action earlier this year. The North American release of the manga was carried out by Seven Seas Entertainment, which published the manga as two omnibus volumes. The anime adaptation of the manga was premiered in July. It is also being streamed by Crunchyroll in North America.

Orange manga has also been adapted into a live action movie. It was released in December, 2015. The manga author Takano has come up with new material as a new two-chapter manga is also set to be launched in October. It will be published in December issue of Manga Action. The tickets for the upcoming sequel movie will be available starting October 14th.
