Call of Duty 3 is the sequel to Call of Duty 2 and 1. Call of Duty 2 was a launch title on Xbox 360. And now we have Call of Duty 3 on the Xbox 360 as well as the new console. Thanks to the Xbox One backward compatibility games program.

The game was developed by Treyarch who took the rein from Infinityward. Furthermore, they really did a great job. The story of Call of Duty 3 is about the Normandy breakout. It’s told chronologically through the eyes of the Canadian, Polish, American and British troops. It was a new take on the series. The game focuses mainly on the liberation of Paris. It plays over 88 days. Furthermore, a lot of the campaigns will affect each other which felt pretty cool back then.

You get to know some of the characters a lot better as compared to the Call of Duty titles before this. Overall, it’s a well-polished and presentable title with its own unique twist on the World War II shooter genre. With Battlefield 1 right around the corner, World War shooters are making a comeback. If you can’t wait for DICE’s brand new Battlefield game, you can jump into some good old Call of Duty 3 action. This is all thanks to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility Games program which has now added more than 250 games.
