Videocardz reported the first batch of info regarding upcoming AMD VEGA 10 and VEGA 20 GPU architectures. The info is taken from an internal server roadmap, showing details about TDP ratings, the amount of video memory, and more.
AMD Vega 10
Vega 10 is slated for the first quarter of 2017. It should have 64 Compute Units, and 24TF of 16-bit computing power; the architecture is based on 14nm GFX9 architecture, and should come equipped with 16 GB of HBM2 memory. Memory bandwidth goes up to 512 GB/s, and TDP shouldn’t go over 225 W. You can also expect a dual Vega solution, slated for the second quarter of 2017, with a 300 W TPD rating.
AMD Vega 20
Vega 20 should be based on the new, yet undeveloped 7nm GFX9 production process. It will come with a whopping 32GB of HBM2 memory (by the time it arrives, 32GB of vRAM could become a normal thing for high-end cards). Memory bandwidth will be doubled over Vega 10 and will go up to 1TB/s; the architecture should come equipped with 64 Compute Units.
AMD Vega 11; AMD Navi 10 & 11
Vega should replace Polaris 10 architecture during next year. There’s no detail about Vega 11, but it should be very similar in specs to Vega 10. On the other hand, Navi 10 and 11 are planned for 2019, meaning Navi architecture is pushed one year back.
