Alien Isolation to get VR support soon

“VR has caught the whole company’s attention. We have a lot of VR kits in the office and people are playing with it. We are exploring ways to release games. We’ve not announced anything, but we are very close to making an announcement.”

The game makes the Alien terrifying to encounter as opposed to previous titles in the game franchise where the focus was on gunning the alien down. The Alien vs Predator games in the early 2000s tried to nail down the scare factor a bit. However, it all got bogged down once you realize that shooting the alien can eventually kill it.

“We did Alien: Isolation about three years ago on Oculus Rift, it was a demo that was bloody scary. To bring that back to VR would be a dream and dreams can come true.”

There’s a gut-wrenching sense of fear and a momentary feeling of relief. To experience all that in VR will be a dream come true. The game does use weapons at some points, however. But, we don’t think that will take away much from the experience.

Alien: Isolation is an action-adventure video game developed by Creative Assembly and based on the Alien science fiction horror film series.

Let us know what you think of this Alien: Isolation news. We’ll keep you updated as we get more on this from SEGA. SEGA is also rebooting its Sonic franchise in an effort to bring it back from the dead. However, we’d keep our eyes and ears open for this news as well. Stay tuned to MobiPicker.
