LeEco is expected to launch its new flagship device soon. The company is hosting an event in China on September 21st, where it is likely to launch the long-rumoured Le Pro 3. However, the company has not revealed the release date or even the name of its upcoming device as yet. The new smartphone is rumored to be called by multiple names such as LeEco Le 2s Pro, Le 3 Pro, and Le Pro 3. Earlier, LeEco was expected to announce the Le Pro 3 on September 7, which did not happen.
The Le Pro 3 is supposed to be the successor to the LeEco Le Max 2. Reportedly, it will also sport an all-metal build and a 7mm slim body. The new device might also ditch the 3.5mm audio jack. The company had released its previous smartphones, the Le Max 2 and the Le 2, without a 3.5mm jack. Both smartphones came with single USB Type-C port for charging, data syncing and audio out.
The new smartphone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage [expandable via microSD card slot]. It is expected run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The upcoming smartphone might feature a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It rumored to be backed by a huge 5,000mAh battery.
Other reports claim that the new smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch HD display, and a fingerprint scanner. It might come in three variants – a 32GB internal storage / 4GB RAM one, 64GB internal storage / 6GB RAM one, and a 128GB storage / a 6GB RAM one.
However, the above speculation must be taken with a grain of salt as the Chinese company is known to surprise everyone with its disruptive products. Still, the Le Pro 3 can be expected to sport top-notch hardware. As far as pricing and availability are concerned, we’ll just have to wait for now. LeEco has not confirmed any of the details about its upcoming device as yet.
