Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro, launched earlier this year in July has got a price cut. The budget smartphone, available only through Snapdeal, will now be cost Rs 9,490 compared to its earlier price of Rs 9,890.
Available in black, gold, and silver colors, the Galaxy J2 Pro comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor.
With 16 GB built-in storage (expandable to 128 GB via microSD slot) and 2GB RAM, the J2 Pro has so far received a fairly positive response in the Indian market. The device has a battery capacity of 2,600 mAh and it runs on the Android Marshmallow operating system.
Both the 8 MP rear camera and 5 MP front cameras are capable of delivering a decent picture quality. Other key specifications include 4G connectivity, Bluetooth v 4.1, GPS, GLONASS, USB 2.0, WiFi Direct, and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
The device also boasts features such as Smart Glow which is basically next-generation LED notification system, as well as Turbo Speed Technology (TST) that results in faster performance (Samsung claims TST allows apps to load 40 per cent faster than even higher-end devices with twice its RAM).
While the Galaxy J2 Pro is indeed a competent device in its category, it remains interesting to see whether or not the price-cut of Rs 400 can boost its sales as the company hopes.
