Alcatel, a brand of TCL Communication, has announced the SHINE Lite and XL smartphones at the IFA 2016 event in Berlin. The Alcatel SHINE Lite comes with a metal unibody design with glass back and on the other hand, the XL sports a 6-inch Full HD display, runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Alcatel SHINE LITE Specifications and Features

The Alcatel SHINE Lite sports a 5-inches HD (1280 x 720 pixels) 2.5D Dragontrail Glass display and is powered by the MediaTek MT6737 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz 64-bit quad-core processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB native internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Talking about the camera, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash for better low-light selfies and video chats. It also comes with a Fingerprint sensor for extra security. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Dual SIM (optional), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. A 2,460mAh non-removable battery is on board.

Pricing: The Alcatel SHINE LITE comes in Satin Gold, Pure White, and Prime Black colors and is priced at around 199 Euros (US$ 220 / Rs. 14,780 approx.).

Alcatel XL Specifications and Features

The Alcatel XL sports a relatively larger 6-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz Octa-core processor with Mali T860 GPU. The Alcatel XL runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

In the camera department, the Alcatel XL features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. A 3,500mAh battery powers the phone.

Pricing and Availability: The Alcatel XL smartphone will be initially available in MEA and Europe, starting from mid-October, no word on pricing yet.
