The Fallout 4 Nuka World DLC is still making waves on the Web, and you are probably torn between playing the good Samaritan or the evil raider overlord. Well not to worry, we here at MobiPicker have investigated everything in Nuka World and have put up this guide for you to decide between the Good Guy and Bad Guy disguises. You can save your game right before choosing a quest in Nuka World so you can come back to it and take the other route if you’re interested. We highly recommend doing both.
Fallout 4 Nuka World Good Guy Approach
If you are hero by nature and you want to be a ‘Good Guy’ who saves the Nuka World Amusement park and clear it off of all the raiders, you can absolutely do all that being a ‘Good Guy’. All you got to do is to keep in mind that this will end all the other major quests of the DLC for you immediately, and will give you a really small taste of the Nuka World experience. We highly recommend saving your game before taking this approach so you can reload the save and try the ‘Bad Guy’ approach if you like.
To summarize, you can speak to Doctor Mackenzie in the Market in Nuka-Town. She’ll tell you to kill all the raiders so that the merchants can be free. Keep in mind that once you accept this quest all the raider factions will immediately become hostile. Expect heavy opperetion from the enemies (The Raiders) at this point as every other raider will become your enemy.
Once you complete this quest, you can go to the Nuka-World Power Plant on the west side of the map. Go to the rooftop and find a security cage. Inside will be a big red button. Press it and the Park will re-open without any raiders. This will also allow access to previous areas which were blocked due to no electricity malfunctions.
Fallout 4 Nuka World Bad Guy Approach
Here is all the good stuff if you like being a ‘Bad Guy’. This is the crux of the Fallout 4 Nuka World DLC. To start you have three raider factions to whom you can give spots of lands. There are 5 spots, so no matter how you split it, one faction will feel left out and, later on, will turn hostile against you. This faction will occupy the Nuka World amusement park and it will be up to you to force them out. The fun begins when you can go on raiding parties with your newly found raider buddies. You can raid your own settlements, although some important settlements with key characters like Preston are not available to raid. The Minutemen will show up but the game allows you to kill them without the Minutemen faction turning hostile against you (probably because you kill the

Raider Faction Perks
The three raider factions will grant you different perks so choose wisely. We’ve decided to list all the perks of each faction and how it will affect you
Desciples Perk: The Chosen Desciple
This particular perk is one of the most beneficial ones. It ofefrs tons of melee builds that offer VATS. Any new melee kill will restore some of your Action Points. If the Kill is at a 100% at the time, you’ll have 25% AP. For Chosen Desciple the PerkID is 6009C89.
Operators Perk: Ace Operator
If you want some Stealth-Heavy builds, Ace Operator perk is one of the best. It’ll come handy when working with the Operators Raider Gangs. While using this perk, whenever you’ll get into shadow, you’ll get 10% bonus to your sneak ability. Another amazing benefit of this particular perk is that it’ll cause 25% additional damage to the enemies with the silenced weapons (With Suppressor Attached).
In addition, you’ll get every other weapon with a suppressor gain and also the bonus damage that will be guaranteed every time you shoot an enemy. The PerkID for Operators Perk: Ace Operator is 6009C8b. Its one of the best Fallout 4 Nuka World perks.
The Pack Perk: Pack Alpha
The Pack Alpha perk is one of the most interesting ones that is available in the game specifically for Melee builds. It offer 25% bonus to melee combat and unarmed damage as well. As a secondary function, the Pack Perk allows you to have an increased damage resistance. Although the Pack Perk isn’t a flat one as is takes all the incoming damage from Physical effects and Energy, and reduces it by 25%.
This can prove as a huge bonus on top of your armor and benefits even the non-melee players as well. however, for this –particular perk, you’ll have buddy up and this is probably the only downside of this perk.
Special New Perk Ranks in Nuka World
There are seven new ‘Perk Ranks’ that were introduced in the Nuka World. Following is their detail.
Strength Perk: The Steady Aim – Rank 03
The Strength Perk: The Steady Aim requires Level 49 and it is kind of a little beneficial as it increases the damage only when you are hip-firing any type of weapon. It multiplies the damage by only 5%. Overall, it’s a mess but it is still offers an overall additional boost to the damage that you can cause to the enemies.
Perception Perk: Awareness – Rank 02
Perception Perk: Awareness requires the Level 14 and it increases the damage by a 5% in VATS. The second rank in awareness is actually quite beneficial for a VATS build but the downside to is that it doesn’t add +5 to the hit chance, instead it multiplies it by 1.05.
This simply means that an 80% hit chance will become an 84% hit chance and that kind of cool. So in simple words, the higher you have the hit chance, you’ll have more hit chance gain. If you combine it to the overall damage done, it’s a good all-around perk for a VATS build.
Endurance Perk: Ghoulish – Rank 04
The Endurance Perk, Ghoulish requires you to be at Level 50 or above. As every character gets some Rad Damage, some get more of it. So, if a melee character that takes the damage from enemies that cause Rads regularly, the melee character will get benefit out of it the most. Ghoulish perk is already quite beneficial as it offers healing for lost HP specifically when you have the ‘Rad Damage’. But, it takes you to the cap based on how much of the radiation damage you’ve received.
The Ghoulish perk’s Rank 4 gets all the additional remaining damage and slowly converts it back to health. So if you can’t wait for the natural healing process that takes time, you can use the ‘RadAway’. This way you’ll keep on getting damage but the healing process will speed up. It’s one of the best perks in Fallout 4 Nuka World based on ranks.
Charisma Perk: Attack Dog – Rank 04
The Attack Dog perk requires Level 31 or higher. It comes in handy while you are using the Dogmeat as a companion. This will help you get a 10% less damage. Since the ‘Lone Wanderer’ works with the Dogmeat, you’ll find this particular perk an amazing one for a mediocre boost for you Canine friend and companion.
Intelligence Perk: V.A.N.S. – Rank 02
This is a new intelligence perk that requires level 32 or higher to use it. It’ll offer you a +2% perception. Not so many of the players like this particular perk but it’s really a good boost for a player who wants to complete all the quests. As you know, perception itself is quite important and helpful at the same time, though it will only help with your ability to detect all the nearby enemies on the radar and the VATS only.
This particular perk will only act as a permanent drug as it’ll only affect your total perception. And because of this behavior, this perk will not unlock any additional perception perks for you.
Agility Perk: Quick Hands – Rank 03
Similar to the Perception Perk V.A.NS, the Quick Hands perks is the new one to be included in the Nuka World expansion. It requires you to be at level 40 or above and offers +10% action points instantly as you use it. It mainly is similar to getting an extra agility point. To some players it might not be a big deal but it is quite beneficial for overall performance. Depending upon your build and build type, its not at all a complete waste. based on ranks, the Quick Hands is one of the best perks in Fallout 4 Nuka World according to the ranks.
Luck Perk: Mysterious Stranger – Rank 04
Mysterious Stranger is a new Luck Perk that requires level 49 or above. This new Mysterious Stranger perk rank increases the chances of the appearance of the stranger in VATS and helps smoke some enemies. In addition, it increases the chances of getting a refill to the ‘Critical Meter’. It generally fills up the Critical Bar with a Critical Banker.
After beating the Power Play quest you will be granted these perks. Afterwards, you can accept further quests from your allied Raiders faction and they will also bring you loot after a set amount of time. Most of it might be useless to you at this point but you an sell the loot for in-game currency (bottlecaps). You can still turn on the Nuka World amusement park after completing the raider quests.
Fallout 4 Nuka World DLC will be the last DLC to be released for the game. There is no news regarding whether Bethesda will put out a GOTY edition of the game but it is highly likely that they will since they have done it with every other title since Morrowind.
