Motorola has introduced the Moto Z Play in the Z-series that debuted with the Moto Z earlier. The Moto Z Play comes with Moto mods support. Let’s check out the specifications and other features of the Motorola Moto Z Play in detail.
Moto Z Play Specifications and Features
The Motorola Moto Z Play sports a 5.5-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display accounts to a pixel density of 403 PPI. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz Octa-Core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM and native 32/ 64GB internal memory with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 2TB.
The Motorola Moto Z Play runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow which is quite obvious as it is a Motorola device. In the camera department, the rear camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with Dual-Tone LED flash, Laser autofocus, PDAF to focus quickly, 1.3um pixel, f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash for all your selfies and video calls.
The device also rocks a Fingerprint sensor, Front-ported loudspeakers, 3-mic support and it has support for all the moto mods via the mods connector that were introduced along with Moto Z. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, and USB Type-C port. A 3,510mAh battery is on board with Turbocharging support.
Pricing and Availability: The Motorola Moto Z Play comes in Black, Silver, Black Slate, White, Fine Gold, and Sugar White colors and is priced at the US $449.99 (Rs. 30,123 approx.) and will be available globally starting this month. In Europe, the device will be available for 499 Euros. For US markets the Moto Z Play will be available as Moto Z Play Droid Edition for $408 ($17/month) via Motorola.com and Verizon on September 8th.
