In Pokemon GO, nests are fixed locations that act as spawn points for specific Pokemon/s. So, for example, your local park can have a nest of Bulbasaurs or Pidgey. This is different from when you encounter a random Pokemon while walking down a street. You can head on over to PokemonGoHub.net and see which Pokemon has the highest chances of spawning and at what time. We decided to tabulate 10 from that list. The list is given:

PokemonGoHub uses Poke Radar’s prediction algorithm dataset. “All percentages are calculated on a rolling 1 week period across approximately 100 million historical data points for the highest degree of accuracy.” Creators of the PokemonGoHub also wish to include best hunt times in the future. From the large data table we see that Pidgey has the highest chance of spawning (15.98%) while Dragonite has the lowest (0.0011%).

SilphRoad are a bunch of Pokemon GO players who want to create a social network for Pokemon GO players. According to their Reddit “The Silph web app (launching soon) will offer geolocated, local centers for the Road community. At these local headquarters, you will be able to request backup taking out a gym, meet new faces, learn local spawning anomalies/nests, check out the Traveler card of a username you see on a gym, and (when trading is launched) see everything for trade in the neighborhood.”

Types of Nests

According to a video posted by SilphRoad there are three types of nests: Frequent Spawn Area, Frequent Spawn Point and Cluster Spawn.

1. Frequent Spawn Area has multiple Pokemon of a specific type spread over an area

2. Frequent Spawn Point is a single point where uncommon or rare Pokemon spawn

3. Cluster Spawn is the best because it includes multiple of an uncommon species showing up at once

Nest locations change at least once a month to keep the game fresh and non-repetitive. What kind of Pokemon have you encountered in nests? Let us know in the comments. For more on Pokemon GO and nests and other updates regarding Niantic’s mobile game, stay tuned to MobiPicker.
