Google Contacts has just received an update, bumping the same to version 1.4.17. The latest release is now available to download for Nexus, Android One, and Google Play Edition devices. Google Contacts is the default contact management app on these smartphones, so its update should not be avoided.

Sadly, there are no new features added in this update. The changelog only comprises of bug fixes and performance improvements.
With the Google Contacts app, you can easily add contacts and edit information like their photo, phone number, and email. The contacts can be saved to your Google account and accessed on multiple devices. Duplicate contacts issue can also be fixed with automatic link suggestions. One can also quickly call or message right from the contact card.
The latest release, Google Contacts 1.4.17, comes with build number 10417. It sizes at 6.53 MB and applicable to Nexus, Android One, and Google Play Edition devices running Android Lollipop or above.
