Chinese smartphone maker Meizu recently launched the Meizu U 20 and U10 as the latest addition to its U series smartphones. Both the Meizu U20 and U10 are mid-range devices and will be soon made available in the Chinese market. The USP of both the Meizu U20 and U10 is the fingerprint sensor offered by both these devices at this price point.
The Meizu U10 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor. The device will come in two memory configurations of 2GB RAM/ 16GB internal storage which has been priced at CNY 999 (approx. Rs. 10,000) and a 3GB RAM/ 32GB internal storage variant which has been priced CNY 1,119 (approx. Rs. 11,300). The storage can be, however, expanded via microSD card up to 128GB. The Meizu U10 sports a 13MP primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats. The U10 runs Android-based YunOS with Flyme UI on top and packs a decent 2760 mAh battery. The device supports 4G LTE and offers dual hybrid SIM card slots.
The Meizu U20, on the other hand, sports a larger 5.5-inch FHD IPS display and a bigger 3,260mAh battery. It is powered by a snappy octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 chipset. Apart from these differences, the specs of the Meizu U20 and Meizu U10 are almost identical. The 2GB RAM/ 16GB internal storage variant of the Meizu U20 has been priced CNY 1,099 (approx. Rs. 11,100), while the 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage variant carries a price tag of CNY 1,299 (approx. Rs. 13,100).
The Meizu U10 will go on sale in China starting 18th September, while the Meizu U20 will come a bit earlier on August 28. Both the smartphones will be made available in Black, White, Champagne Gold, and Rose Gold colour variants. International availability details are yet unknown.
