Pokémon GO has finally been released, and is now available to download if you own an iOS mobile device. Keep in mind, however, that the game is optimised for smartphones, so you’d best keep your iPad away and hug your iPhone close. As opposed to the game’s Android version, the iOS version bears the version number 1.0. Not sure what Pokémon GO is all about? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
In Pokémon GO, you can explore your real-life surroundings to catch all your favourite pocket monsters. The game includes a number of classic Pokémon from the original 151, including the likes of Charizard, Squirtle, Haunter and of course, Pikachu (obviously). You get to throw Poké Balls to catch the ‘mons and evolve them by catching several Pokémon of the same type.
You can also join gyms, where you can strengthen the prestige of that gym. There’s eggs that you can hatch, and interestingly, the game’s Pokémon will appear at times and places that match their Types: so expect Squirtle to show up near oceans and rivers, and Pikachu will be seen scampering about during a thunderstorm.
Pokémon GO is free-to-play with in-app purchases, and you can get it for your iOS device over at the App Store via below source link. Are you playing it already? Let us know what you think about it in the comments below. For additional Pokémon GO coverage, keep an eye on us!
