If you’re a PC gamer, you might have thought that you were destined never to be able to play Destiny. But it seems that the fates may be smiling on you yet: Bungie has stated at E3 2016 that they have not ruled out a PC version for their first-person shooter MMO, even if they have no updates on it just yet. Exciting as the news is, it does make me wonder whether they’ll bother porting the game to the PC when instead they could just do the honours for Destiny 2, widely rumoured to be releasing within the next couple of years.
In an interview given to Gamespot, Bungie director Christopher Barrett discussed the possibility of a PC version when asked. He stated that this has not been ruled out, and that they’re “always looking at what platforms make sense for Destiny.” Of course, the statement is rather vague and doesn’t tell us a whole lot, and it might even be directed to talking about Destiny as a franchise, rather than as a video game. Are you holding out for a PC version for Destiny? Do you think it might just appear through the clouds, fluttering its angelic wings, singing hymns of death and destruction as it climbs into your computer? Let us know in the comments below.
