If you’ve got an Xbox One and have been itching to find out what all this Rocket League fuss was about, your time as apparently come. Microsoft has announced that they will be holding a free multiplayer weekend from June 9th to 12th. This means that anyone with an Xbox Live membership can play with the privileges of a Gold member, without a Gold membership. Coinciding with this free weekend, Rocket League will be completely free to play. Get them rocket cars revved up!
Additionally, if you like the game and would like to purchase it, the game will be at a 10% discount throughout the weekend. The Xbox free weekend will be available for Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners throughout the world, and will end on Sunday, June 12, somewhere around 11:59pm Pacific Time, so you’d best get going right now.
Rocket League was released by Psyonix on the PC and PlayStation 4 on July 7th, 2015. It saw its Xbox One release on February 16th, 2016 and remarkably features cross-platform play between the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.
