There is some great news for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 users. Verizon has started rolling out the Marshmallow update for all the Galaxy S5 devices on its network. This update would bring Android Marshmallow 6.0 to these devices and will upgrade the software version to MMB29M.G900VVRU2DPD1.

The Marshmallow update will bring a dozen of new features including Google Now on Tap, Doze, redesigned app permissions, etc. The update will also bring updated app icons, Wi-Fi calling, Ultra High-Quality Audio, Android for Work, etc.Galaxy S5

Samsung had launched the Galaxy S5 in early 2014. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset coupled with 2 GB of RAM and sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED FHD display. The device offers microUSB 3.0 and is IP67 certified dust and water resistant. It features internal storage of 16GB/32GB which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The device was one of the most hugely successful Samsung flagships and still has a market for interested buyers.

Other major US carriers like T-Mobile and Sprint have already rolled out the Marshmallow update for this device on their networks. Verizon has also given a detailed list of the pre-loaded apps with their corresponding version numbers.
