Sony has launched two of its latest smartphones, Xperia X Dual and Xperia XA Dual in India. Both of these devices were unveiled at the MWC earlier this year along with the Sony Xperia X Performance Dual. The latter, however, hasn’t been launched yet.
With a price tag of INR 48,990 (approx. $729), the Xperia X Dual is a high-end device. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 coupled with 3GB of RAM. It sports a 5-inch FHD display and offers 64GB internal storage, dual-SIM support, fingerprint sensor, and a 2620mAh battery. On the camera front, the device flaunts a 23 MP rear snapper with f/2.0 aperture and a 13 MP front-facing shooter.
The Xperia A Dual, on the other hand, is the ‘affordable’ version of the Xperia X. It is a mid-range device with a price tag of INR 20,990 (approx. $312). It sports a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. The device offers dual SIM support and offers an expandable internal storage of 16GB. It packs a 2300mAh battery. The Xperia A Dual sports a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera.
Both these devices will be made available through Amazon India. The pre-bookings have already started for the Xperia X and it will be made available after June 7. The Xperia XA, on the other hand, will be made available from the third week of June.
Considering the specs, the pricing of these devices seems too expensive and it would have been better if Sony had launched the Xperia X in the sub-40k price range. Well, do let us know what you think of these devices. Adios.
