There is a great news for Xiaomi fans today. The company has finally decided to do away with the much-dreaded flash sale for its flagship device Xiaomi Mi5. Fans can now directly buy the Mi5 from the Mi India website without any registrations starting 1st June.
This move comes after Hugo Barra’s announcement at the Google I/O 2016 where he had said that Xiaomi was looking forward to increasing the production of the Xiaomi Mi5 for India to meet the great demand for the Xiaomi flagship in the country.
This would mean an end to the bugging flash sale and the registration process. 1st June, 10:00 AM onwards, fans in India can buy the Xiaomi Mi 5 directly from the Mi India website at a price of Rs. 24,999 if it is in stock.
The Mi 5 was made available in India in April and since then it has received a great response from the Indian users. The Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch FHD display with curved 3D Ceramic glass and a pixel density of 428ppi. The device is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 on top.
On the camera front, Mi 5 features a 16 MP rear snapper with Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), sapphire glass protection, OIS, 4K support, and LED flash. On the front, there is a 4-MP shooter, with f/2.0 aperture.
The device supports dual SIM and offers an internal storage of 32GB. It packs a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Among other notable features, there is USB Type-C. The device features all the common connectivity options including VoLTE support, 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/ac, and NFC.
