Dark Souls III developer FromSoftware is already busy at work on their next title. We recently learned from an interview with company president (and Dark Souls III director) Hidetaka Miyazaki that the next game from FromSoftware has made it to the production stage. Now we’ve learned from a recruitment clip that From’s next title is being developed for the PC, PS4, Xbox One and, interestingly, PlayStation VR.
The video in question is marked unlisted on YouTube, rendering it unsearchable, but it was uncovered nevertheless. It runs through From’s history of games, from their humble origins in King’s Field, through the Armored Core franchise and their call to fame: the Dark Souls franchise (Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne are curiously absent from the reel).
For those following FromSoftware closely, it should perhaps come as no surprise that the studio is developing a VR game, as they had previous expressed interest in virtual reality as a technology, leaving many to speculate if a Dark Souls VR game would be in the works. That dream is perhaps dead now, as Miyazaki has made it clear that he does not intend to make any more Dark Souls games, and that the next game from his studio will be completely different, and an original concept. Have a look at the video below, and let us know what you think in the comments below.
