The Legend of Zelda Wii U is on its way, and if rumours are true, we will finally hear more about the game at this year’s E3. Nintendo holds a Direct at each year’s E3, and this year will likely be no different. What will be new however, is that this year, Nintendo might announce their next console, currently codenamed the Nintendo NX, and The Legend of Zelda “Wii U” might appear on it.
First and most importantly, we need to know the release date for this game. It was revealed all the way back at E3 2014, so it will soon be two full years since we’ve seen anything about the game. The game was also expected to release last year, so it really is time we finally find out when the game will be released.
Next up, if the game appears, there will obviously be a new trailer for the game. Considering the game is now closer to release, the trailer will hopefully be longer and more substantial than the tease we saw all the way back at E3 2014. Apart from the trailer, however, we expect to see gameplay footage from the game, showing how the game is different from its predecessors, as well as what the capabilities of the new Nintendo NX system are.
And of course, we need a title for the game, because “The Legend of Zelda” would be too vague (unless they’re going for a reboot of the franchise, which seems unlikely) and “The Legend of Zelda Wii U” would be just silly. Zelda games have always had great titles in the past, so let’s hope this one is no exception.
