When searching for a relatively affordable, but powerful phablet, choices are pretty broad. Many brands, even more, models, all with some killer features, and most of them with a couple unavoidable price-related limitations. Which one to buy, which one offers most for the money? In order to help you a bit, we decided to compare three phablets that offer most for your money. Two of them are on the market for a while, while YU Yureka Note just got launched. So, let’s see what the difference between them is, and which one is the best bang for your buck.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Chinese smartphone giant is living its golden age. They conquered the Chinese market and are now on the road to the west. Their latest phablet model is named REdmi Note 3, and it packs some serious power for its Rs 11,999 price tag. For that money, you’ll get a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD screen, a solid Snapdragon 650 chipset, 3 gigs of RAM, and 32 GB of internal memory. The phone has a nice 16-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash capable of recording video in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. It has the best battery of the bunch, with its 4000 mAh Li-Po beast, capable of holding the phone alive for two days before it needs the charger thanks to the excellent optimization of Xiaomi’s MIUI. OS version is 5.1 (Lollipop), with Xiaomi’s own MIUI (version 7.0).
Lenovo K4 Note
Having the same price as Xiaomi, Lenovo K4 Note doesn’t really offer the same level of specs as his counterpart. IT does have nice 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen, and 3 gigs of Ram. But K4 Note only has MEdiatek’s octa-core CPU (don’t let the numbers fool you, Snapdragon 650 is much more powerful, even if it’s “just” a hexacore solution) and 16 GB of internal storage. The camera has a 13-megapixel resolution, and it’s capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second; the secondary camera has 5 megapixels. The battery is smaller than the one found on Redmi Note 3 (3300 mAh). Android version is 5.1 (Lollipop).
YU Yureka Note
With the price tag of Rs 13,499 we expected more out of Yureka Note. It does have a 6-inch 1080p display, which is a better solution for people who don’t own, or don’t want to own a tablet, but the rest is a bit disappointing, at least for the price. Chipset used in the device is Mediatek MT6753, almost the same as the one in K4 Note, just a bit faster (1.5 GHz vs. K4’s 1.3 GHz), Yureka Note has 16 GB of internal storage, and also packs 3 gigs of Ram. The camera is solid, with 13-megapixel resolution, and a 1080p @30fps video recording quality, with a 5-megapixel secondary camera. The battery has a 4000 mAh capacity, but we are not so sure that it can hold as long as the one in Redmi Note 3. The OS used is Android 5.1 (Lollipop)
All models offer expandable storage, Yureka, and REdmi Note also have a quick charge option. The choice between the three is hard on the first sight, but if you want a huge screen Yureka Note is the first choice. If you appreciate Snapdragon chipset, and MIUI go with Xiaomi. K4 Note is a solid device, but compared with other two models, it just fall short in almost every aspect.
