If you’ve been playing Star Wars Battlefront, you’ll be glad to know that the Outer Rim DLC has been released and is now available for download if you own the game’s season pass. We take a look at what it includes, and what you can expect from the next batch of DLC.
Outer Rim includes four new maps that include settings such as Jabba the Hutt’s palace and the factories of Sullust. A new mode, Extraction, also awaits you in the DLC pack. As for new characters, EA has added the notorious Greedo and Sullustan rebel Nien Nunb. Not exactly the most well-known, but I suppose they fit with the whole Outer Rim theme. The DLC is currently available individually at $14.99, but is included in the game’s Season Pass, which is priced at $50.
This the first major post-launch DLC launch for the game, but it’s far from the last one. After this, DICE is expected to release the Bespin DLC pack some time in Summer. Summer is still at least a couple months away, so you’ll have to let Outer Rim tide you over until them. As for what to expect from the DLC, we have no idea, but a new mode sounds likely, and Lando Calrissian as a playable character sounds practically impossible to miss.
