If you were waiting for EA to announce a Pets expansion for The Sims 4, your dream might just come true soonish. According to an EA survey spotted by SimTimes.de, EA is at least considering the possibility of a Pets expansion for the game. Considering how detailed the survey is, it seems they might actually have something in the works already.
The survey proposes a new town focused on pets, in keeping with The Sims 3: Pets expansion. You can create or adopt your own pet in CAS mode and choose between horses, dogs or cats while giving your new pet your own personal traits. You get to train and interact with them, and like with any other Sim, you can build a relationship with them.
The pets will also have their own careers and they can go to work to bring in cash for your household (you know you’re desperate when you’re sending your pets out to feed you), and can learn skills like hunting, jumping, racing and locating collectibles. Suddenly I wish Ubisoft games had pets (Far Cry Primal is a good start).
There is no release date or even an official announcement regarding this Pets expansion, but it seems fairly solid that it has been charted out by Maxis. It would also be unusual for a Sims game to not have a Pets expansion eventually. Have a look at the survey text below.
