Microsoft is planning some big changes for the Action Center on Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile Redstone releases. The improvements won’t be as big on mobiles compared to PC counterparts, but will surely enhance the overall experience on smartphones too.

According to MSPoweruser, Microsoft is planning to group notifications by the app in Windows 10 Mobile Action Center, making things clearer and better organized.

Right now, the Action Center on Windows 10 Mobile displays a maximum of 20 notifications from each app, meaning a lot of scrolls if you’re using social networks a lot. Hence, Microsoft want’s to rethink and modify the Action center for easier access.

The best way to do so is by grouping notifications on app basis, show the first three and then a “read more/see more” toggle.

As of now, nothing is clear from Microsoft side as to when the release will happen, but with internal testings going on for the feature, we shall expect the same in coming preview builds for insiders. Also, more information on the subject will be available soon as the Build 2016 conference starts today.

Other requested feature for the Action Center has been the transparency/translucency effect, which will aide to the overall look and feel of the UI.  But, there hasn’t been any news about the same on any Microsoft channel so it remains a mystery.
