It has been barely a week since the US and European release of the Samsung Galaxy S7, touted to be the new flagship of the South Korean tech heavyweight, and the fans are already looking forward to the next big release from the company.
If the word on the street is to be believed, Samsung’s next high-end offering Galaxy Note 6 will hit the store shelves in the later half of 2016, presumably in August.
Expectedly, the market has already been abuzz with all sorts of rumors and speculations surrounding Samsung Galaxy Note 6 specs.
Early murmurs across the tech streets suggest that Samsung might increase the display size on the Galaxy Note 6. If true, the device will probably come equipped with a 5.8-in Quad HD display as compared to the 5.7-in display in its older siblings Galaxy Note 4 and Note 5.
IB Times reports that the Note 6 will be made available in two variants: one carrying the powerful Snapdragon 820 while the other will boast Samsung’s homegrown Exynos 8890 or higher.
Worth noting, Samsung announced its brand spanking new 256 GB Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.0 technology in Feb 2016.If this new report by Fudzilla is to be taken into account, odds are high the Galaxy Note 6 specs will also include the new UFS 2.0 technology that delivers an exceptional reading and sequential writing speed of 850 Mbps and 260 Mbps respectively.
As for the camera, it seems the device will carry the same low light 12MP primary camera that we saw in the Samsung Galaxy S7.
Samsun is believed to be working extra hard to ensure a longer battery life for the Note 6. This essentially means that a larger battery somewhere within the 3600 mAh to 4000 mAh is highly likely.
Other key Galaxy Note 6 specs and feature may include: wireless charging, microSD support, USB Type-6, Android Marshmallow, and Gear VR support.
Update (02/05/2016): A new Galaxy Note 6 specs leak from a popular tipster has been posted on Weibo today. It suggests that the phablet will be powered by Snapdragon 823 and will carry 6GB of RAM. It will feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display and will be carrying a large 4200mAh battery.
The leak says that the Note 6 will come with laser autofocus, which will improve the autofocus speed and accuracy. The device will be waterproof and dustproof (IP68 certified) and will possibly come in a flat-screen as well as a curved-screen variant. So yes, a Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Edge is highly likely.
