Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note5 Marshmallow Update: Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and Telus

Samsung recently launched its flagship devices Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at the MWC. Both of these flagship devices run on the latest Android OS 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but the last year Samsung flagships Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were still stuck on the Android Lollipop. Users had been waiting for the Marshmallow update for some time now.

Well, there is good news for the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Note 5 users as most of the famous carriers have started rolling out the Marshmallow update for these devices or will do so very soon.

According to a snap from a chat with an AT&T rep, the Galaxy Note 5 will start getting the Marshmallow update today onwards while the update will be officially rolled out for the Galaxy S6 on March 14 or March 15.

Sprint has started the roll out of Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6, but the Galaxy S6 Edge hasn’t received the update yet but is expected to get the update anytime soon. However, there is still no word on the Galaxy Note5.

Verizon has started pushing out the update for the Note5 and it is expected to roll out the update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge soon in the near future.

Canadian carrier Telus will also roll out the update for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus. It will roll out the update for S6 Edge Plus first on March 13 and then for S6 Edge on March 30. The S6 will get the update on April 13^th.

Another Canadian carrier Bell is also planning to bring the Marshmallow update to Galaxy S6 later in March.

T-Mobile USA is also planning to roll out Marshmallow update soon for the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and the S6 Edge Plus.

Android Marshmallow update will bring a host of new features, enhancements and improvements. So keep an eye for these OTA and you can even manually check for the updates by navigating to Settings > About Device > Download Updates Manually.
