According to the Game Informer,  Gears of War 4 is coming up with some interesting improvements. The game’s setting is going to move a quarter century ahead after the point where Gears of War 3 ended, and the main protagonists of the game are going to change to three new people who will give gamers more choices.

Gears of War 4

The world of Sera, where Gears of War 4 is set, is going to experience changes in some new degrees of freedom: for example, the weather will play a crucial role, and there will be windflares powerful enough to change the game (literally and figuratively). Furthermore, the game has been made more realistic because just as players can take cover when they run out of options in the battlefield, enemies have the option of taking down characters after pulling them out of their covers.

A new enemy, the Swarm is going to be introduced in the game. The Locust, which served as the previous antagonist, was apparently annihilated in Gears of War 3, and to that end, for the new trio of protagonists, there is Marcus Fenix’s son  JD, who captures citizens from Sara and transfigures them into a new species of enemy that are almost not recognizable as human beings.

The makers of the game, The Coalition, say that while the horror aspects of the game will be introduced early in the series, players will be able to adapt themselves to the powerful enemies that they face over the course of the game through tactics introduced as the game progresses.
