Though the Sony Xperia Z6 launch date is still a lot of weeks away, Sony didn’t fail to make its presence felt at the MWC 2016. It launched the new Xperia X series. The first three phones in this series are Sony Xperia X, XA and X Performance.

All the three smartphones launched under this series feature a 5-inch display. Sony has got a bit away from its usual Xperia design and has gone for a metallic back. Also, the front and the back of the phone have a continuous colour due to a ‘tone-on-tone approach’. The phones are available in Graphite black, White, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.

The Sony Xperia X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset along with 3GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box . It has an internal memory of 32GB of storage which can be expanded further with a microSD card.

The power button on the Xperia X also acts as a fingerprint sensor.

The Xperia X features an amazing 23 MP rear shooter which is equipped with Sony’s Predictive Hybrid Autofocus technology. It lets users pick a target and then it tracks it. Also Sony has claimed that opening the camera app and taking a quick snap would just take 0.6 seconds. This would be really amazing if true. The device has a 13 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chat.
