New age of 4GB RAM Smartphones & Tablets
Yes beloved readers, It is official – we are going into the age where 4GB RAM smartphones & tablets are making an entry that is as much as the common notebook now! Samsung just announced it has started mass production of the sector’s first 4 Gigabyte LPDDR4 mobile DRAM modules for tablets and smartphones. It would be built on the 20nm process technology of company and going to offer an input/output data rate of upto 3200 Megabits per second, as well as UHD video playback and recording. Also the it reduce the power consumption upto 40% compared to LPDDR3 units.
Samsung is already selling 3GB & 2 GB LPDDR4 RAM modules to mobile device manufacturers and application processor vendors, which means tomorrow’s smartphones and tabs will soon be treated to cutting edge RAM memory. As for those 4GB processors, Samsung expects they’re going to become market-ready in early 2015. It is time to put the stakes, which device is going to get 4GB module; Samsung Galaxy S6 or Note 5? Or sometimes both!
