The French smartphone maker Archos has unveiled a new high-end smartphone Archos 50d Oxygen this Thursday. The smartphone will be first showcased at MWC 2016 and will probably go on sale somewhere in the beginning of May this year.
50d Oxygen sports a 5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 440ppi. The smartphone packs an octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz assisted by Mali T720 MP3 GPU (450 MHz). It features 2GB DDR3 RAM and a native storage of 16GB expandable up to 32GB with an external memory card. Archos 50d Oxygen is 4G LTE-enabled handset other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, and Micro-USB.
The Archos 50d Oxygen houses a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with an LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel front shooter lens for selfies. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The smartphone measures at 141.4×70.6×8.12mm. It is powered by a 2100mAh battery. As predicted above 50d Oxygen should go on sale starting May this year at a price of $149.99.
