Honor, the e-commerce subsidiary of Huawei has announced that all new Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus will be available for purchase in India from February 15th. The smartphone will be sold online exclusively through Amazon India and Flipkart for Rs.8,499.
Honor Holly 2 Plus was launched along with Honor 5X in India last month. However, Honor 5X went for an early sale from Feb 1 while the Honor Holly 2 Plus was scheduled for a later release. Honor Holly 2 Plus will be sold without any registration or flash sale, so there would be no rush.
P Sanjeev, Vice-President Sales, Huawei India- Consumer Business Group, in a statement to Economic Times said,
Holly 2 Plus is a smartphone specially designed for the Indian market with dual SIM 4G support. With these new product introductions, Honor is optimistic of providing phones which suit the needs of Indian customers.
Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus is aimed at budget-conscious customers in India. The handset offers a 5-inch IPS HD display, a 13-megapixel primary camera, 5MP front shooter. Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6753P processor assisted with 2GB of RAM and has 16GB of native storage, expandable up to 128GB through an external memory card. The handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 on top. It has a dual microphone and noise cancellation technology for better and clear calling experience. Connectivity option includes 4G/LTE on the both SIM slots.
This beast of a smartphone is powered by a massive 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 tech that charges the device from 0 to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. This is one of the biggest USPs of this smartphone. Huawei also claims that the handset can deliver over 20 hours of usage with 10 percent battery using Ultra Power Saving Mode. The Chinese smartphone brand Huawei last year shipped 108 million smartphones and claimed the spot of third-largest smartphone maker in the world after Samsung and Apple. According to a PTI report, the company aims at 300 percent growth in the smartphone sales in India.
