Intex launched its new 4G budget smartphone Intex Aqua Craze in the market at a price of Rs. 6,190. Aqua Craze was unveiled at an event by J.S. Deepak, Chairman, Telecom Commission & Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Government of India; Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies and Sanjay Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.
The Intex Aqua Craze has a 5-inch 720p display. It is powered by a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1 GHz and has 1 GB of RAM. It comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and has an internal memory of 8 GB which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
At the camera front, the device has an 8MP rear shooter along with a 2 MP front-facing camera. Among other notable features of this device, one is ‘Matrabhasha’. This enables this device to operate in 21 Indian regional languages. Many other pre-installed services and apps like Intex Service, Opera Mini, FOTA, Newshunt, Myntra, etc. are also there on the phone. The phone comes with a 2500mAh battery which promises to give a standby time of 7 days and 5-8 hours of talk time.
While addressing the media, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said,
“Aqua Craze is a brilliant device from the house of Intex and is a true delight for the consumers. The affordable 4G smartphone has features which will leave the consumers spellbound. We are honoured and delighted that this latest offering from Intex has been launched by the honorable Secretary, DoT. This will surely act as an impetus for us and encourage us further in our ‘Make in India’ journey.”
The phone will be made available very soon in the market and will come in Grey, White and Champagne Gold colour variants.
