It’s Marshmallow in the air, as all the major smartphone manufacturers are now pushing out the Android 6.0 update for their flagship devices. We have seen the Galaxy S6 and S6 Marshmallow update release in Poland yesterday, and even Xperia Z5 is getting Marshmallow in Turkey. But LG isn’t far behind, and here is some good news for the LG G4 users.
Previously, the Marshmallow update for LG G4 has been released in Canada, Europe, and South Korea, apart from the G4 sold by T-Moble, US Cellular, and Sprint. Well, now it’s time for AT&T to follow suit.
All the LG G4 units sold by AT&T are now receiving the Marshmallow OTA update. The roll-out is on its way as you read this, and you have got the AT&T LG G4, then you might receive the notification any time soon. For the more impatient users, the update can be manually checked for by going into Settings.
The LG G4 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is 971 MB in size, so make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi otherwise your mobile data pack will get exhausted in no time. The new update bumps up the software version to H81020n. The new features that Marshmallow brings include Doze, Now on Tap, and new app permissions. The AT&T update also comes with video calling and AT&T notes support.
