CES 2016 ended recently, and now we have the MWC coming up at the end of this month. There are going to be a lot of launches at the event, and Xiaomi Mi5 might be one of them. It is also possible that Xiaomi might probably keep the big launch for a later date. Anyway, the Mi5 is close to being launched, and we have already got our hands at most of the specs. However, the price was still unknown, until now.
We were lucky enough to get in touch with an employee of Xiaomi India today, and we tried to dig a little deeper about the upcoming Xiaomi flagship. The employee, who wished to remain anonymous, did not agree on revealing any specifications or confirming any of the leaked/rumored ones. But he did gives us a pretty good idea about the pricing of the phone. According to our source, the Xiaomi Mi5 will be priced in India for around INR 25,000, which roughly translates to $368.
We had earlier reported that the Mi5 was rumored to get a price tag between $300-$400. So the latest information goes hand-in-hand with the previous rumors. We guess that the $368 price tag should be for the 3GB/32GB of the Xiaomi Mi5, and if there’s going to be a 4GB/64GB variant as rumored recently, then the price might go up to around $450.
Anyway, the Xiaomi Mi5 launch date is coming closer, and we expect all the details to be official at the unveiling event. Are you excited?
