Just like Pokémon, Nintendo made a lot of success with Legend of Zelda series as can be seen in the way the fans continue to grow. Last year, fans were very hopeful that a title will come on Wii U, but their hopes were crushed when the year came to an end without one. It looks like Nintendo is aiming to pacify its fans with the release of Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD to update the game for Wii U users, but it appears that fans are asking for the new Zelda game on Wii U.

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD Wii U

New features of Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD according to Engadget include: a Ghost Lantern which tells you that an evil spirit called Poe’s ghost is close by when it lights up. Poe ghosts caused a lot of headache to players in the original Wii U game because they were hard to find and will only pop out by nightfall. With the new lantern, the sixty of them should be easy to find.

Another interesting feature of Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD is the Hero Mode. Hero Mode is a new difficulty setting and it does a number of things including: makes Link take double of the damage, removes all heart drops, and changes the way Rupees work. In Wii U version, assuming Link had a wallet that was full of Rupees and another treasure chest was opened that contained more Rupees than his wallet can carry, Link will put back the money to get it later. That is not in Hero Mode because any opened chest will not cause the gems to return.

Twilight Princess HD will also get a map in the inventory that can be displayed using the Wii U Gamepad. Twilight Princess HD is scheduled for release on March 4 and will feature Wolf Link Amiibo that will open up a Cave of Shadows challenge arena. A report said data stored in the Amiibo figurine will transfer over to the new Legend of Zelda Wii U game.

Since the release of Skyward Sword, The Legend of Zelda is yet to see another remarkable opening, and most definitely, the release date for the new Zelda Wii U game should get fans excited.

There are also rumors that the Wii U game could be replaced by the Nintendo NX, but if there is such a thing, Nintendo will most likely make the announcement at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) coming up in at the Los Angeles Convention Center. For now, the waiting game continues.
