If some new reports are to be believed, Samsung is preparing a new phone which is a high-end version of its recently launched Samsung Galaxy A9. The alleged new model is being called the Samsung Galaxy Pro and gets the model number SM-A9100, and the current Galaxy A9’s model number is SM-A9000.
As reported by Sammobile, Samsung is currently developing the firmware for the Galaxy A9 Pro, and no information has leaked out yet regarding the specifications and features of the phone. As it is being touted as the ‘Pro’ variant, we guess it will come with a larger and better screen, more onboard storage, and possibly Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Meanwhile, the current Samsung Galaxy A9 gets a 6-inch FullHD Super AMOLED screen with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.8GHz Snapdragon 652 octa-core CPU with 32GB of onboard expandable storage. There’s an 8MP front camera, and a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, LED flash, and OIS. A 4000mAh battery keeps the lights on.
Apart from the newly-rumored Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, the company is also working on three new “J” series smartphones, expectedly the Galaxy J1 (2016), Galaxy J5 (2016), and Galaxy J7 (2016). Besides, we are eagerly waiting for the next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S7. The S7 series is expected to launch on 11th March, according to latest rumors.
