The Galaxy S7 is highly awaited, but more than that, people are eagerly looking forward to the curvier Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The phone will be on the must-buy list of many people, and if you are one of them, then you must know what the phone will bring to the table.
Appearance
As for the looks, constant rumors have unofficially confirmed that the Galaxy S7 Edge and other S7 phones will not be getting a completely overhauled look. In fact, they will bear a look similar to the Galaxy S6 phones, with just a few minor design changes. Of course, the company will be using some new kind of magnesium metal for the S7’s body, but the overall structure will remain close to the current flagship.
Hardware
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge had recently been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark listing. The phone carried a 5.1” QHD screen and was running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It was being powered by the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC with Adreno 530 GPU, and there was 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard memory under the hood. Markets other than the US and China will get the Exynos 8890 variants of the Galaxy S7 Edge. Meanwhile, the S7 Edge Plus will be larger and might be a 6-incher.
Talking about the camera, the primary camera at the rear will be a larger 12MP or 12.1MP sensor with even more fantastic aperture, while the front camera will be a 5MP sensor. Fingerprint scanner is the standard norm in all the flagships, but the Galaxy S7 Edge might carry an iris scanner as well.
Release Date and Price
It is being said that Samsung will be unveiling its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge series of smartphones in Barcelona on 21st February at the MWC event. In case this turns out to be true, then the phones will be made available in stores by March end. An expected price range should be around $750-$850, but we should wait for an official confirmation.
Also, if you are in UK, you should know that the larger Galaxy S7 Edge+ might not make it to your country. Trusted sources say that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ was released in the UK but didn’t sell in great numbers, while the Galaxy Note5 wasn’t introduced in Europe that was a big mistake Samsung made. So now, the company apparently wants to deal with the damage by releasing the Galaxy Note 6 in the UK, and this time, the Galaxy S7 Edge+ will be the one not being available in the country. We don’t know whether this will be the case for all of Europe.
