All the latest rumors regarding the next Apple smartphone, the iPhone 7, have been saying that the iPhone 7 will not get a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is being said that Apple will be providing headsets that will connect to the Lightning port instead. However, for those who want another solution, a new rumor says that Apple is working on a new pair of wireless earbuds.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple is developing wireless earbuds for the iPhone 7, and the new earbuds will be made under the Beats brand. The report says that the new accessory might come bundled in the box with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The earbuds will be completely wireless i.e. there won’t be any wires even between the right and the left ear pieces. The product might be named Apple AirPods, and Apple has already registered this name.
The “rumor” also says that the earbuds will come with a noise-cancelling microphone system that would allow the users to make or receive phone calls as well as talk to Siri. The earbuds could get charged simply by placing them in the carrying case. But the report says that the accessory might be delayed a bit so that Apple can resolve battery issues.
