BLU is a not-so-popular smartphone maker based in the US. But the company surely wants to grab some attention this year by launching some good-looking and well-specced budget smartphones. BLU has announced the new BLU Vivo 5 and BLU Vivo XL at the CES 2016. Both the phones look great with a metal unibody design.

Talking about the BLU Vivo 5, it flaunts a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a rather low 267 ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The phone sports a 13MP/5MP camera setup and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out out the box.

The BLU Vivo 5 offers dual-SIM card slots, LTE connectivity, and a 3,150mAh battery. It will go on sale for $199 from the next month on BestBuy and Amazon. The phone will be available in Solid Gold and White-Silver colors.

Getting to the BLU Vivo XL, this phone gets the same 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display. It also flaunts the same CPU, but the RAM is downgraded to 2GB, and the internal memory is also lowered to 16GB, but with an option to expand it via a microSD slot. The Vivo XL gets a glossy finish with a nice pattern on the rear.

The BLU Vivo XL will be available this month on BestBuy and Amazon for $149. It will be sold in many color options including Midnight Blue, Rose Gold, Chrome Silver, and Liquid Gold.
