Through its CES press conference, ZTE has unveiled two entry-level smartphones in the US. Called the ZTE Grand X3 and the ZTE Avid Plus, both the phones do not impress us with their specs, but they do come at low prices and hence can be your secondary phone or a starter’s phone.

Talking about the ZTE Grand X 3, it offers a 5.5-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor. It has got 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage that is further expandable through a microSD slot. The X 3 gets an 8MP/2MP camera combo and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Juiced by a 3,080mAh battery, the ZTE Grand X 3 gets a Type-C USB port. The phone will be sold via Cricket Wireless in the US and will be available without a contract for $130.

Meanwhile, the ZTE Avid Plus is the cheaper one here. It packs a 5-inch 854x480px LCD and gets a 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 under its hood. With 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard expandable storage, the Avid Plus runs on Android 5.1. It gets a 5MP/2MP camera setup and is juiced by a 2,300 mAh battery.

The Avid Plus will costs $115 off contract. It will be sold by T-Mobile from 20th January, and also by MetroPCS shortly after.
