LG has unveiled its new K series of smartphones today, and this lineup is meant to be the sequel to the L series. Just like the L smartphones, the K lineup will offer budget smartphones with premium features. The LG K10 and the LG K7 are the first K smartphones to be officially announced by the Korean company.
The LG K10 features a 5.3-inch HD screen, Android 5.1 Lollipop, and a 2,300mAh battery. All the other specs depend on the country which you buy the K10 from. The LTE-enabled model of the K10 gets a 13MP main camera, while the 3G-only variant gets an 8MP rear camera. The front camera might be an 8MP or a 5MP snapper depending on the country.
The amount of RAM in the LG K10 can be 1GB/1.5GB/2GB, and the onboard storage can be 8GB/16GB. Even the CPU in the K10 various according to the market. The LTE variant gets 1.2 GHz/ 1.3 GHz quad-core/1.14 GHz octa-core versions, while the 3G variant gets a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.
Talking about the LG K7, it gets a 5-inch 854×480 screen, 5MP front camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop, and a 2,125 mAh battery. Rest of the specs vary according to the country and according to the LTE/3G model. The main camera can be an 8MP or a 5MP one depending on the country.
The LTE variant gets a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor, and the 3G version gets a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU. RAM can be 1GB/1.5GB, while the internal storage can be 8GB/ 16GB. The 3G variant of the LG K7 will come in Gold, Black, and White, while the LTE variant will get a “Titan” color.
The LG K10 and the LG K7 come with a new design called “glossy pebble”, which looks young, curved, and modern. Both the phones get displays with 2.5D curved glass on top. The phones will make an appearance at CES this week, where we might also learn about their pricing and availability.
