Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo has completed almost two years of its bright time. The phone was initially launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and was later updated with Android 4.4 KitKat and Android 5.0 Lollipop to give users maximum exposure on current standards.
Although not official, but it is well understood that the phone would not be updated with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow flavour. The company has started the roll-out of next major update Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for the phone. The firmware initially rolled-out in South Korea back in October, and now the next country which just received the update is Russia.
The new update said to bring the major upgrades in battery performance along with other bug fixes and performance enhancements.
Surprising enough, the main device in the series, the Galaxy Note 3, is still running on the Android 5.0 Lollipop. The company has not announced any future updates for the phone.
